Mapping Texas‘ crude production

A new map based on data from the Texas Railroad Commission’s data query feature shows crude oil production by county for the year ended June 2013.

Karnes County, 60 miles southeast of San Antonio, led the state with production above 46 million barrels last year.

The Eagle Ford Shale and Permian Basin regions had the highest rates of production.
