Petronas will delay crude exports from its oil and gas production facility in Sabah by a minimum of three months due to a technical issue.
The delay at the Sabah Oil and Gas Terminal is due to problems at a semi-submersible platform that links the oilfields to the terminal.
The terminal, located at Kimanis bay, is a pivotal facility in the Malaysia’s plan to increase crude production and exports offshore oilfields.
Crude exports were originally planned to start in the first quarter of 2014.
