Over 14,500 people attended the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG), setting an all-time record for the event held in Perth over three days last week.

Attendance at the event, billed as Australia’s largest for the oil and gas industry, was up 40 percent from 2013.

About 550 exhibitors were there from  20 countries, including the US, UK, China, Norway, Scotland, Singapore, Holland, Italy, France and Belgium.

Among them were Cameron, FMC, Technip, Aker Solutions, Fugro, Baker Hughes, Kongsberg and Yokogawa.

The conference featured over 150 speakers covering 15 different streams with subsea incorporated into the program.

Part of the program featured “AOG Graduate Careers Day,” attracting over 1149 students who heard free presentations from companies such as Woodside, Curtin University, Subsea 7 and Wood Group Kenny.

AOG 2015 will again be held in Perth, from March 11-13.
