Foster Wheeler AG (Nasdaq:FWLT) said Monday that a subsidiary signed an alliance agreement with Austria’s OMV to provide integrated project management and engineering, procurement and construction management services.
Under this five-year agreement, Foster Wheeler will provide services for OMV refineries located in Burghausen (Germany) and Schwechat (Austria).
Specific work orders from OMV can include front-end loading for projects of any size as well as engineering, procurement and construction management services for projects.
The companies didn’t say what the potential value of the alliance agreement could be.
“By consistently delivering safe and successful projects for OMV, we have established the right basis for a longer-term relationship with our client,” said Roberto Penno, Chief Executive Officer, Foster Wheeler Global Engineering and Construction Group.
Oil and gas producer and refiner OMV Aktiengesellschaft is Austria’s largest listed industrial company.
The company had revenues in 2013 of $59 billion.
It has a workforce of around 27,000 employees.
Foster Wheeler AG is a global engineering and construction company and power equipment supplier.
It designs and constructs processing facilities for the upstream oil and gas, LNG and gas-to-liquids, and refining, among other industries.
It’s based in Zug, Switzerland and its operational headquarters office is in Reading, United Kingdom.
