Abdul Kareem Luaibi, Iraq’s Oil Minister, said on Wednesday his country hoped to complete construction of a 125 mile oil pipeline by the end of this year.
When the pipeline is complete, Iraq hopes to increase oil exports to Turkey to over 1 million bpd.
Luaibi told Reuters, “We are building a pipeline in Iraq. I believe the daily oil flow will exceed one million barrels a day when that line is completed. I hope it happens this year.”
