Technip has announced the sale of an engineering and construction services subsidiary to a Canadian services provider WSP.

The French company has agreed to sell its Paris-based TPS in a deal set to close in the first half of the year.

Regarding the sale, Technip said, “in line with strategy to focus on energy, its core business. It will also enable TPS to better tackle its operational challenges and to carry on its growth as part of WSP, one of the world’s leading professional services firms with a strong expertise in the building sector.”

TPS has offices in Lyon, Toulouse, and Abu Dhabi.

The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
