Operations have resumed at Total’s Block 10 oil field in Yemen after it was shut down due to strikes by workers in March, the company said.
Block 10 is located in the Hadramout region, an area that sees constant fighting between the government and tribal forces.
Block 10 has a capacity to produce 60,000 bpd when in full operation.
Total is currently the biggest single foreign investor in Yemen. Oil production from Yemen accounts for around 3 percent of the company’s global output.
