A drilling rig accident in Rankin, West Texas has left one oil field worker dead.
The Upton County Sheriff’s Office has not released the name of the man who died.
Investigators say the accident happened Sunday night at a site about 25 miles north of Rankin.
Chief Deputy Jason Hazlewood said nobody else was hurt in the incident.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Federal safety investigators are also reviewing the circumstances of the accident.
