Chevron announced they have completed construction on a new base oil facility at its Pascagoula Refinery in Mississippi.
With the $1.4 billion project complete, the company expects to reach full production capability by the middle of this summer.
“At that time, we’ll be considered the largest producer of premium base oils in the world,” Chevron spokesman Alan Sudduth said.
The company plans to produce 25,000 bpd, doubling its current global production.
