Norway’s key Kollsnes gas processing plant halved its output on Sunday due to problems with gas supplies, operator Gassco told the Nordic power exchange.

The plant’s power consumption dropped from 270 megawatts (MW) to 120 MW at 1300 GMT due to “lack of upstream gas supply”.

The outage was expected to last until 1700 GMT, it added in a market message.

Statoil operates the Troll and Kvitebjoern gas fields that supply Kollsnes.

A spokesman at Statoil said he wasn’t aware of any major supply disruptions.
