Repsol has made two discoveries in the Karabashsky 1 and 2 blocks of Russia’s West Siberian Ouriyinskoye Field, the company announced Tuesday.
The discoveries were made in the Gabi-1 and Gabi-3 wells.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation estimated the recoverable resources to be 240 million boe.
According to Sergei Donskoi, minister of the Natural Resources and Environment of Russia, this is the biggest find made in Russia in the last two years.
