On Tuesday night Tropical Storm Boris drew closer to the southern Pacific coast of Mexico, moving north towards Salina Cruz, Pemex’s largest refinery.

A company spokesperson said the Salina Cruz refinery was operating normally and no production disruption is expected.

Salina Cruz has a capacity of 330,000 bpd.

With maximum sustained winds of up to 40 mph, the Boris is expected to make landfall early Wednesday morning.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said the Tropical Storm was heading north at 5 mph.

At the time of the NHC’s last statement, Boris was 85 miles southeast of Salina Cruz.
