Halliburton has signed an agreement with Petrotech (Xinjiang) Engineering Co to establish a JV company focused on hydraulic fracturing and production enhancement services in Xinjiang, China, the company said in a news release.
The new company, called Xinjiang HDTD Oilfield Services Co. Ltd., is Halliburton’s first JV for fracking services in China.
The JV will focus on the Tarim oil field in Xinjiang.
By 2025 the total production in the Tarim oil field is estimated to be 50 million tons.
