Statoil’s Oseberg East field platform offshore Norway was shut down after a collision with a supply vessel on Thursday, a spokesman said.
Production was expected to restart later the same day.
The collision took place at 11:40 GMT Wednesday.
An inspection after the incident showed small damage on the platform.
“The production was stopped, but we are preparing to restart it later today,” said Lars Kindingstad, a spokesman for Statoil.
