Transportation company MacGregor won a contract from Chinese shipbuilder Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding for two 100 ton active heave-compensated subsea cranes.
The total value of the contract has not been released.
The cranes will be fitted to two 86 meter multi-purpose platform supply vessels under construction at the yard.
Delivery of the cranes is scheduled for the end of September and October 2015.
MacGregor is the integrated cargo and load handling offshore services arm of Finland-based Cargotec.
Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding specializes in offshore support vessels and is one of three shipyards owned by Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group.
In 2013, Fukian Mawei ordered eight cranes from MacGregor for installation on a new series of four compact semi-submersible offshore accommodation vessels for Singapore-based Marine Assets Corporation.
The deliveries for that order are scheduled to begin in August 2014 and finish by the end of February 2015.
