Cyprus-based SeaBird Exploration won a 3D seismic survey contract worth $11 million for work in the Gulf of Guinea, West Africa.
The contract is with an unnamed party and is for SeaBird’s Geo Pacific vessel.
The project is expected to start during the middle of the third quarter 2014 and will have an estimated duration of 78 days.
The Geo Pacific joined SeaBird’s fleet in 2013. The vessel can tow six 26,246 feet (8000 meter) solid sentinel streamers.
SeaBird is a global provider of marine acquisition for 2D, 3D and 4D seismic data and associated products and services to the oil and gas industries.
