Singapore-based shipbuilder Swissco Holdings Limited has entered into four charter contracts Friday worth a total of $94.8 million.
The contracts were made with an unnamed Latin American oil major and will provide four mobile offshore
drilling units to work oil and gas fields in Latin America.
The contracts were made through Swissco’s wholly-owned drilling and service rig provider Scott and English Energy.
The contracts last for up to two years.
Scott currently has a fleet of three drilling rigs and one service rig.
Swissco purchased Scott in March 2014 for $225 million.
Swissco operates a fleet of offshore support vessels including anchor handling tugs, utility tugs, crew boats, accommodations vessels and barges and is currently building a jack-up rig.
