Police officials from DeSoto Parish, Louisiana said a Texas man stole $110,000 of equipment from oil and gas well sites.

James Robert Arnold, 32, was arrested by the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office and charged with three counts of felony theft, the Shreveport Times said.

Additional charges may be brought against him as the investigation continues.

The police said Arnold may be connected to more thefts in DeSoto as well as thefts in Richland Parish and Harrison County, Texas.

Deputies found a stolen trailer along with other stolen items at Arnold’s home.

Arnold initially denied being involved but later confessed when a security video placed him at the scene of one of the thefts.

He stole an Airman air compressor and Texas Brag trailer with a combined value of over $11,000 from an oilfield site on June 24.

He also stole a Magnum Products light tower, valued at $6,000, and a JLG forklift, valued at over $90,000, on June 22 from an oil well location.

The trailer and the forklift were recovered by the DeSoto sheriff’s office. The light tower is still missing.

Arnold is currently being held at the DeSoto Parish Detention Center.
