A flash fire at a Wyoming natural gas storage facility owned by Houston-based EOG Resources injured four workers Tuesday afternoon.
Two EOG employees and two contractors were cleaning a natural gas storage tank south of La Barge when a blaze broke out around 2 p.m.
The fire was quickly extinguished by local firefighters.
Three of the men were taken to the hospital and one of the workers was treated in an outpatient facility and released.
The severity of the workers’ injuries hasn’t been disclosed.
An EOG spokesman said the incident was a “flash fire” and not an explosion.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
EOG didn’t disclose the extent of the damage to the facility or if the incident will disrupt operations.
EOG is an independent crude oil and natural gas company with total estimated net proved reserves of approximately 2.1 billion barrels of oil equivalent with U.S. assets accounting for 94 percent of its reserves.
