Denmark-based Viking Supply Ship lost three rig charters with an unnamed major oil company Monday as weak oil prices drop demand for offshore vessels.

The company said the 2015 drilling seasons for the Brage Viking, Magne Viking and Balder Viking have been cancelled along with the remaining optional periods for the vessels.

The contract covered the 2014 and 2015 drilling seasons with options for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

The value of the contract was not disclosed but Viking said it will be paid an early termination fee.

“The company is currently assessing several alternative contract opportunities for the vessels,” Viking said.
