Keppel AmFELS won a contract valued at over $100 million Tuesday to build “one of the world’s largest land drilling rigs” for a major, unnamed operator.

The deal includes the engineering, procurement and construction of a harsh environment rig.

Details about the rig have not been disclosed.

The contract is not expected to have a material impact on the net tangible assets or earnings per share of Keppel Corporation Limited for the current financial year.

Keppel AmFELS will be undertaking the engineering, procurement and construction of the rig.

Scheduled for delivery in the middle of 2016.

Keppel AmFELS is a U.S.-based wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore’s Keppel Offshore & Marine.
