Rig provider Rowan Companies said last week that it won three contract extensions from Saudi Aramco for three premium jack-up rigs.

The company said Saudi Aramco extended its lease for the Rowan Middletown rig by three years through August 2018 at a day rate of $69,000.

State owned Saudi Aramco also awarded the company a three year lease extension for the Charles Rowan jackup through August 2018 at a day rate of $69,000 as well as three year extension for the Arch Rowan through August 2018  at a day rate of $69,000.n

The previous contracts for the three vessels were for a day rate of $70,000, Oil Review Middle East noted.

Houston-based Rowan added that it continues to estimate planned out-of-service time for the third quarter and full-year of 2015 to range from 3 percent to 6 percent for its jack-ups and drillships, subject to fleet repositioning and market conditions.
