One worker died on Monday after an accident at the Cheniere Energy operated Sabine LNG terminal in Louisiana, the second fatal accident at the plant in less than a month.

According to KPLC7, paramedics arrived at the plant around 10 a.m Monday morning in response to an undisclosed accident.

A man who has yet to be publicly identified was taken to a hospital in Port Arthur for undisclosed injuries.

Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office officials told KPL7 the man died, but the department did not release further details.

A spokesperson for Houston-based Cheniere Energy told 12News the victim was not employed by Cheniere.

Cheniere Energy has not yet commented on the incident.

The accident is the second fatal accident at the plant in less than a month.

Donald Jenkins, a 45 year old construction contractor, died while working at the plant on October 19 after falling from scaffolding, KPLC7 said.

The Sabine Pass LNG terminal is located on over 1,000 acres of land along the Sabine Pass River on the border between Texas and Louisiana, in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
