One man died on Tuesday after an accident at an oilfield site in southwestern Edmonton, Alberta.
According to Global News, emergency medical officials found an unidentified man dead after responding to a call around 8:30 p.m. at an oilfield site near the area of Township Road 465 and Range Road 21.
The owner of the field, located west of Pigeon Lake, has not been disclosed yet nor has the victim’s name or the name of his employer.
The cause of death was not divulged, but foul play is not currently suspected.
Police officials told the Global News that the Center for Occupational Health and Safety will be conducting its own investigation into the incident.
“The adult male is someone who is familiar with the worksite there and does do deliveries there on a regular basis,” said Royal Canadian Mounted Police Insp. Gibson Glavin told the paper.
