A new trailer released on Tuesday gives viewers a first look at “Deepwater Horizon,” a film based on the 2010 Deepwater Horizon accident.

Mark Wahlberg stars as electronics technician Mike Williams alongside Kurt Russel as Jimmy Harrell, a Transocean offshore installation manager who was on board the Deepwater Horizon rig during the accident.

The film is based on the New York Times article “Deepwater Horizon’s Final Hour” and will follow Williams and his crew mates during the 48 hours leading up to the disaster that killed 11 people and caused the largest spill in U.S. history.

The film is directed by Peter Berg and the script was penned by Matthew Michael Carnahan and Matthew Sand.

“Deepwater Horizon” will be in theaters on September 20, 2016.
