Two people have died as a result of a fire that occurred earlier this week at a Saudi Aramco oil facility.
According to a Saudi Aramco social media post seen by Reuters, two people died from injuries sustained during a fire at a Saudi Aramco facility in the Alwsea’ area, near Riyadh.
Saudi Aramco added in the post that 16 other people were injured during the blaze.
The fire broke out on Wednesday around 3:00 p.m near a tank at the oil processing facility.
Saudi Aramco confirmed that emergency response teams brought the fire under control on Wednesday.
The company’s operations have not been impacted by the blaze.
