One person was injured on Thursday after a well blast in Oklahoma.
Houston-based Trinity Operating told NewsOK that one employee was injured after an explosion at a natural gas well in Pittsburgh County.
Officials told Reuters that the injured worker was taken to a hospital in Tulsa and is in stable condition.
Houston-based Trinity owns the impacted well.
No other injuries have been reported.
Pittsburgh County emergency manager Kevin Enloe told News 9 that the explosion occurred just after noon on Thursday when a worker was operating a valve at the well.
According to News 9, a fire sparked by the blast had been extinguished as of Thursday but gas was still leaking from one area of the site.
Enloe told Reuters the fire began at one well and spread to two other wells at the four well site.
Enloe added that all three wells have been shut.
Trinity Operating told NewsOK that it “followed established safety protocols and the fire was extinguished.”
